Welcome to the Monopoly Wiki. This wiki is about the board game, Monopoly (obviously). We are hopefully just on the verge of becoming a comprehensive Monopoly Enclyclopedia and need everyone's help. Here, feel free to edit or create a new page. Anything relating to Monopoly is allowed. Monopoly: The Mega Edition

Monopoly: The Mega Edition is an update for Monopoly released by Winning Moves Games in 2006. The game was made by Winning Moves and licensed by Hasbro. Several new features are included. Players can get through the game faster, gain more money than before, and, of course, bankrupt opponents faster than before. The new features are detailed below.

Speed Die

The Speed Die was introduced with the Monopoly: The Mega Edition by Winning Moves Games in 2006, and has since been added to many other editions, including the Standard Edition starting in 2007.

Fun Facts about Monopoly

The total amount of money in a standard MONOPOLY® game (prior to September 2008) is $15,140. The amount in newer sets is $20,580.
The character locked behind the bars is called Jake the Jailbird. Officer Edgar Mallory sent him to jail.
In 2000, Hasbro renamed the MONOPOLY® mascot to "Mr. Monopoly". Before then, he was called "Rich Uncle Pennybags".
Although MONOPOLY® is well known for taking a long time to play, it is theoretically possible for a two-player game to be won in just two full turns with neither player ever passing GO. Here is a video of two players simulating such a game in just 13 seconds, with text description of the plays.
