Park Place is the first of two properties in the Dark Blue color set, along with Boardwalk. It is the second-most expensive property to buy and develop, but is one of the least-landed on properties. Park Place was based off a small park in Atlantic City, which no longer exists. At the corner of Park Place and Boardwalk in Atlantic City stands a plaque commemorating Charles Darrow. Its British counterpart is Park Lane.
Summary[]
Park Place is a high-risk, high-reward property during gameplay. It isn't landed on often, if at all, but it can cause serious damage if developed. Since Park Place is the second-most expensive property behind Boardwalk, buying and developing this spot isn't cheap. However, it has high rent and, if developed with a Hotel, can bankrupt a player with its $1500 rent, the second-highest behind Boardwalk's $2000 rent.

Strategy[]
Given it is 7 spaces away from jail, you would need to get luckier than normal for someone to land here to get those $1500 rents, though you only get the house value back if you go past 3 houses ($1100 for 3, $1300 for 4, and $1500 for hotel). Even at 3 houses, you still get the same amount as Illinois Avenue with a Hotel, but only spent $1200 for both Dark Blues to buy buildings.
